Comparison

Gosh, I love these kids! E was just a brand new little fella and P was holding his hand because he kept starling and twitching.
These boys are the best of friends and love each other so much. Every once in a while, we still catch them holding hands in the car. :-)  Melts my heart!

Halloween!!!

Don't die of shock but K is actually blogging! I was looking through past posts reminiscing about prior Halloweens with the kids and decided to update.

J and I as Salt & Pepper. Too bad I am blinking!

P is a vampire

E was a reluctant cowboy. He was supposed to be a dinosaur but refused to wear the costume.

My friends baby was a sack of Idaho potatoes! Such a cute idea!

J borrowed a friends stethoscope and became "Dr. Pepper!"

E inhaling his yummy candy!

Mmmmmm!

Halloween is the only day I get to rock a fauxhawk so I did it! P had some blue spray (from crazy hair day at school) so I helped myself!

Awesome Mormon missionaries!

I've Lost My Blogging Mojo

Man, I have lost all energy/stamina/desire to blog. I don't know what is wrong with me! I just wanted to let you know that we are alive and are doing well. J is still working hard and providing for our family. Mr. P graduated from Kindergarten! I can't believe how quickly time is flying! :'-)  E will be turning 3 soon. I am keeping busy with family and work. I've gotten a great opportunity to start training to work in the Optical center in the retail store that I work. It is an amazing opportunity and I'm really enjoying it! There is so much to learn!

I received my Swap package from my awesome partner, Leah, at The Dog's a boy, too!  I had so much fun shopping for this package. For one, I got to shop for my favorite things and then I got to give it to a new friend! How cool is that! The day before I was to send the package, I wrote to Leah on Facebook. I wanted to just make sure that I didn't send her something that she didn't like. She said she was good for anything and asked me the same question. The only thing I could think that I'd hate to receive was tomatoes. So, this is what I saw first on the package when it arrived! ........................................

Gotta love a girl with a sense of humor! :-)  Leah, I like you!

Here's the booty that I received!  People magazine ...... I love it! That is my favorite celeb magazine! I got some Hot chocolate mix and some chocolate truffles! I also got a little notebook to keep in my purse in case I need to jot down a note. I got a little First Aid kit to keep in my purse too! Perfect! Being a mother of two rough and tough boys, it is amazing that I didn't have that yet! There is a spray antiseptic, hand sanitizer, and first aid kit! :-)  My boys knees and elbows thank you! I got some awesome lip balm, a cute magnet for my fridge, and my FAVORITE gum!  I LURVE Spearmint!!!  I also got a cool scraper for the kitchen. Another great thing that I didn't have yet! Leah sent the boys some Goldfish crackers and some straws that change colors. I might share .... I might not.  The coolest gift was a little photo album that she converted into a Garden seed organizer. You could slip your packets of seeds into the photo pages!!!  She had it broken down into Vegetables, Herbs, and Flowers!! SO COOL!

Thank you, Leah!

Welcome to We Want to Know Wednesdays Q&A

This week Crazymama wants to know how you pamper yourself...
{1} What is your go to color if you paint your nails? do your toes and fingernails match?
Haha! I chew my fingernails to the nub ... so, no, I don't paint them.

{2} Have you ever gone for a mani/pedi? how often do you go?
I've never had one in a spa but I had a pedi given to me at a Relief Society church function. I am the least girly person you will meet. This probably isn't the week for me to participate! :-)

{3} Do you color your hair? do you have a salon do it or do you do it yourself?
Before this year, I've only ever done blond highlights on occasion. My hairdresser has done them. A few months ago, my friend Collete talked me into dying my hair. Nothing too drastic ... just a little darker brown. I loved it! I plan on doing it again because I just cut my hair and cut off all the color!

{4} Facials...have you ever had one?
I've only ever done the homemade facials at home. It really does do wonders. I should probably do them more often.

{5} Would you or have you ever done botox?
No way and not a chance. I refuse to inject botulism into my face. Not gonna do it.

{6} Beauty knows no pain, do you believe in waxing, electrolisis, eyelash extentions, anti-aging creams, micro-dermabrasion, peels, botox?
I wax my eyebrows quite frequently. I've seen eyelash extensions and think they are awesome. I just can't justify the $$$ it costs to then have to redo them in a few months. I see nothing wrong with the anti-aging creams and micro-dermabrasion. If you can afford it and want it, go for it! Same goes for botox, if you want to do it then I have no problem with it. I just can't stomach the thought of putting botulism into my face.

As I said above and in my prior posts, I had a mini-makeover. I had the same haircut for 15 years and decided to change it up a bit .... as much as I can due to my short hair. I also pierced my ears! Here is a pic for those of you who requested it!
Not the best shot, but you get the idea! I'll try for a better shot another day!

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Holy shnikees! I haven't confessed in a very long time .....  I guess I better get to it!

I went to school this morning with P. They were hosting a "Mom's and Breakfast" for the students. I was excited because P was so darn excited. :-)  According to the email that I received, we were going to get Costco muffins. Mmmmm! When we arrived, instead of muffins, we received a tiny, minuscule granola bar and a small milk. What the eff!!! I CONFESS that I was downright angry just a tad peeved. For one thing, they didn't give what they promised. But mostly, I was upset to see that that was going to be P's breakfast for the day. I sure hope he makes it until lunch.

I CONFESS that J and I are going to a church Valentine's party tonight. J is partially in charge of it and hasn't even come up with a game yet. I have a feeling that I will be running the game and have to figure it out on the fly. Why do men always wait until the last moment?

I CONFESS that I am going to get my haircut today! :-)  I've had the same haircut since my junior year of high school .... that is 15 years folks. I finally decided to change it up. Want to see my inspiration? (Keep in mind that my hair is short and I can only do so much with it.)
Google Images
I CONFESS that I also went and got my ears pierced! Holy makeover, Batman! Knowing that I was going to be getting this haircut, I wanted to make sure I didn't lose my femininity. So, I have some nice diamond  cubic zirconium studs. I am excited for this change! It has been way too long!

I'll make sure to post pictures after!

We Want To Know Wednesday

Photobucket

{1} How was your Valentine's Day?
It started out rough but got much better! J's car battery died and wouldn't jump start. So he had to take my car and I managed to be able to get myself to work and E to daycare. After work, we went and bough a new battery. This evening J gave me flowers, some chocolate, and some bubble bath! :-)  I gave J an Ipod Shuffle. He is notorious for breaking things .... he better not break this! My parents brought us some Panda Express for dinner. It was a great night! Oh, and to wrap it up, I went grocery shopping after the kids went to bed. La-dee-freakin-da!  ;-)

{2} What is your favorite flower? Did your honey get them for you?
My favorite flowers are petunias and pansies. Not really in season yet. So J gave me a variety of colors of daisy's. They smell divine!

{3} Was Valentine's Day a big deal when you were a kid?
I liked it. It was fun to give out Valentine's cards at school and received a truck load of sugar. :-) I was always jealous of the girls who got flowers or balloons delivered to school. I never got that.

{4} Did you put up any Valentine's Day decorations? (bonus points for a picture)
I had great expectations of making a really cute V.D. wreath for my door but I never got it done. Oh, Pinterest, how you entice me and make me drool on a daily basis! Are you following me? I have a button on the left if you aren't!

{5} Do you have any Valentine's Day traditions?
Not really. J and I usually exchange a small gift (we were a tad more spendy this year) and go out to dinner. We went to Texas Roadhouse last night. YUM!

{1} What is for dinner tonight (bonus for sharing the recipe)?
Um. Still trying to decide that one. I'm bad. I am usually trying to figure that out at 5 o'clock. I was thinking of putting some chicken in the crock pot.
I put two cans of cream of chicken soup
1 package of cream cheese
1 package of Italian seasoning
4-5 frozen chicken breasts.
I let that cook all day and then serve it over rice. Extremely fattening but mighty yummy!

{2} Share something you are currently looking forward to.
Getting our tax returns. Unfortunately, we aren't doing anything too exciting with it but we will be paying off debt and cutting up that darn credit card.

{3} What are your thoughts on re-gifting?
I'll be the first to admit it. I've re-gifted and I honestly don't see anything wrong with it. If you aren't going to use it (and it is a good gift), I don't see why not. When J and I got married, we received duplicates and triplicates of several items. Some we kept, some we returned to the store for cash, and some we re-gifted. Being a young LDS couple, we had several friends getting married over the next few years.

{4} How often do you rearrange your furniture?
Me? Never. I like it where it is. J on the other hand, he'll rearrange once or twice a year.

{5} Share a picture from your cellphone or camera.
(There were all taken with my cellphone. I just had fun with them on Photobucket!)

E helping me get my taxes done the last 2 years! :-)

My sweet boys love each other. So stinkin' cute!

We Want To Know Wednesday

Welcome to We Want to Know Wednesdays Q&A!

First of all I want to apologize for my unexpected hiatus from blogging. I wasn't planning it and really didn't even need to take it. If you want to read a little family update and see our family pictures click HERE.

{1} What is your most commonly used word or phrase when you are frustrated?
I say OH CRAP a lot and FRICK! Those are my usual ones. Every once in a while I will utter a random, weird one like SNIZZLE.

{2} What random question do you usually get from strangers or casual acquaintances?
I work in retail and have a name tag. Those most often asked question is how do you pronounce your name?  Also, where does it originate from? Seeing as I don't share my name on here I won't say. However, if you go back into my history, you'll find a Vlog (Video Blog) where I discuss it. :-)

{3} Did you ever correspond by mail with anyone, who? Do you still have the letters?
I had a pen pal who lived in Pennsylvania. I think I was around ten-years-old. We wrote quite frequently for a couple of years and then it died off. I cannot remember her name or anything now. I wonder what ever happened to her.
{4} Do you dance in public?  Why or why not?
Absolutely .... NOT! I am a terrible dancer and I feel so self conscious when I do. I'll sway back and forth  when in a group but I'm too embarrassed to try and bust a move.
{5} What is your favorite kind of chapstick/lip balm?
You know, I really don't use it that often. When I do, I'll use Carmex. It seems to do the trick. :-)

What Happened To K? + Family Pics

What is the heck happened?! Last I knew, it was December 15th. I swear I just blinked me eyes and now Christmas is over and it is January. Sorry about that! I took an unexpected hiatus from blogging. I guess I must have needed it.

We are doing well over here in the Lindicious household. P is back in school, after a long Christmas break, and he is enjoying it. I volunteered in his class yesterday. It was pretty fun to see the kids he associates with. Really, my main goal in volunteering was to actually scope out his girlfriends. Yes, plural. Apparently, he has two that he has his eye on. He is too shy to tell them that they are his girlfriends though. :-)  Too cute! I figured out who they were. Can I just say ... my boy has good taste. They were pretty and seemed well behaved. NICE!

E is doing well. He started speech therapy a few months back and really seems to be improving. He still does a lot of baby talk but he is more able to communicate. With being able to communicate, the amount of tantrums have dropped drastically. Obviously, he still has some ... HECK, HE'S TWO! ... but not nearly as many! It has been awesome! I really like his speech therapist. She is so good with him!

I've been doing good. I've been going through withdrawals. I used to serve with the Young Women (ages 12-18) in my church. I'd spend time with them on Sundays and again on Tuesday evenings. I was released from that calling in the beginning of December. Talk about hard! I miss those young ladies!  Now, I play the piano in primary. (Boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 11) Completely different but I am starting to enjoy it. Kids really do say the darnedest things! :-)  I'm still working in my retail job. It's been ok. Lately, I've been off the cash registers and out doing pricing. I really enjoy that ... especially when I get to work with a gal named Brenda. We have so much fun. We talk and I sing along to the music. It's fun!

J is doing well too. He keeps busy with work and doing little projects around the house. He is currently building a new door for the apartment downstairs. The old one's glass is cracked and it just looks old. I'm excited to see it finished. Little does he know, that when that gets done, I'm going to want a new door for us too! ;-)

We had family pictures taken back in the beginning of October but just barely got them. I really wanted to share. So here they are:

E wasn't too thrilled that we left them standing there. Love those faces!
