Preston had his first real sleep over at Grammy Teeples house! He has spent the night there before but it was because she was babysitting him. This was his first true sleep over for fun. She was going to be tending him the next day while I was at work so she decided to turn it into a sleep over. I was a little worried about how he would do but she said he did great! Of course, she took him down to her friends house and let him run for about an hour and a half so he was plenty worn out when bed time rolled around! ;o) I found these pictures in her e-mail and stole them so I could put them on the blog. Hope you don't mind Mom! (I know you don't!)
Preston playing on the bridge. I figure he is either growling at Grammy or he is telling her to "Mon!" (Come on!)

Look ... marbles!

Playing in the water from the fountain. Brown Dog, yes that is his name, is watching. Preston is probably showing Becky something very important.

I love this kid!

Doing somersaults with Becky. I hope Becky doesn't mind me showing this picture! ;o)

Taking a break and drinking some juice. Being a kid is a hard job!

I know ... we are boring -

Not much has happened this week. That is typical at our house. Rock climbing last week was very out of character for us. So, I have no new pictures to share.

Life has been treating us good. J is keeping busy at work and P is keeping us busy at home. He is such a cutie pie and I love him to bits. Some days he drives me bonkers but I really do love him. He makes me smile and I always look forward to his kisses. Oh, just so you know, it is like pulling teeth to get a kiss on the lips from him. He prefers to kiss you on the cheek now. Cute little stinker!

Not much else has been happening. I get to go to Best of Especially For Youth tonight with the youth. That should be good. Well ... I can't think of anything else to report so I won't bore you anymore. Have a great week everyone!

Rock Climbing -

We went rock climbing for Family Home Evening with our friends, Matt & Lindsay, tonight. We had a lot of fun and are grateful that they let us come and have some fun! They are awesome. So as you can see from the picture below, the climb was REALLY hard! ;o) Just kidding, I had to pose for this lovely shot!

Here I am getting ready.

P "climbing"

Oops ... phone break!

Oreo Man! This silly kid was licking the filling off the cookies and putting the cookies back in the package! Luckily, the Lindsay's son, Owen, was doing the same thing!

Here I go!

P and Owen hanging out.

Libbie is "climbing." Actually, their dad just pulls them up and lets the dangle. They love it!

Here is Matt setting the ropes and stuff.

Here is Noah climbing. He got some help from dad but was climbing on his own too!

Here is Lindsay doing some climbing.

Owen dangling! He is only 2 months older than P but he was having a blast! We would have put P in their but we knew he would freak out! They have a little hammock for the kids to play in and he freaked out getting in there. So, we decided not to traumatize him!

Emulating Daddy!

Way up there!

This was actually the very first picture I took. He was just standing there and all of the sudden he started being a goof! Luckily, I managed to get this cute face!

My war wound! There was one drop of blood! Not too serious. ;o)

Me showing off my war wound. I am such a nerd!

What's up -

Not much has been happening around the Lind house. We have been enjoying our new van and took it for its first trip outside the city to IF. (Ooohhh, Aaahhh … I know we travel so far!) Anyway, we decided to make a trip up there because I was seriously craving Johnny Carinos. (I love that restaurant and wish they would build one here.) Both of my cousins, Jill and Jamie, live in IF, so J and I called them and invited them and their families to join us. We had a good time seeing each other and I wished we could have spent more time. After dinner, we went to visit J’s sister, Maria, who lives in Ammon. Her husband, Steven, just had surgery on his foot; so we were going to give him a hard time and threaten to touch his foot. Much to my dismay, he was already putting some weight on it so I couldn’t torture him! Another day, I guess!

For mutual on Tuesday, we had the opportunity to have Moose Balls. When I first heard their name I was kind of nervous but they are delicious! All you have to do is take one Hershey Kiss and wrap it with just a little bit of store bought biscuits. Then you deep fry them and then roll them in powdered sugar. YUMMY! They were a big hit and the girls devoured them!

Today, I had the opportunity to play the organ at the Veteran’s Home. I always look forward to when I get to participate in their sacrament meetings. They are such sweet men and women and I respect them SO MUCH because they served for our country. They are braver than I!

J is doing well. J is keeping extremely busy at Culligan. Being the summer, it is the busy season and it is hectic. We try to take the "glass half full" approach and think about the overtime that he will be getting! (For those who may not know, J is the plant manager and fills the water bottles. He is lifting those 5 gallon bottles ALL day! Each weighs approximately 42 pounds! So, by the end of the day, he is really tired and worn out. One week, J did the math and figured out that he had lifted 42 tons! cRaZy!)

P is being cute as ever! He is an amazing little boy and I cherish him SO much! We've been enjoying him and watching him as he grows and learns! He has finally grasped the concept that when you kiss you have to smack your lips. Before he would just tuck his lips in and put his face on yours. Now he does a proper kiss and it can get pretty wet! I love it!

Sorry for the lack of pictures. I keep forgetting my camera! I want to thank those that make comments on my Blog! I get very excited whenever I receive a comment. Maybe I’m a nerd, maybe not … Yeah, I’m a nerd. But that is okay. I accept my nerdiness with grace and dignity. Well I better stop before this gets any weirder! I hope all of you have a great week!

Van-tastic!!! -

Check it out! We got ourselves a "new" van. It is a 2002 Kia Sedona and it is in really good shape. We have been thinking about trading my car in for a while. Whenever we would go out of town, our car would be crammed full of bags and stuff. I knew that if we ever get another child, we wouldn't have enough room. Anyway, we have been looking around and thinking about it for a while and decided to take the plunge when we found this one. I just had to show it off!

(P.S. To explain the "if we ever get another child" comment. For those of you who may not know, I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and the cysts on my ovaries sometimes keeps me from ovulating. We were extremely blessed to get P and we hope to be able to have more. After trying with little success for almost a year, we have started fertility treatments. So, hopefully, we will be able to provide P with a little brother or sister. Anyway, I just thought I would explain for those of you who may not have known.)
