Random Pics From The Week

The other day we went to my mom's house and P found Grammy's markers. They colored together and all went well. The markers stayed on the paper and didn't go anywhere else. He loved this one marker a lot because it had a dinosaur stamp on it. After some begging and pleading, Grammy let him take it home. As soon as we got home, he wanted to color. We put him in the highchair and went about our evening. J called me in the other room to discuss possible paint colors for our bedroom. We were gone for quite a while and, when we went back in there, this is what we discovered:

P covered himself with the marker. We are SO glad that it came off and that he had been contained in the highchair. Otherwise, I might be showing pictures of a very blue little baby E or pictures of artwork on our walls. PHEW!

Look at me! I'm so proud!

.

Little E has really discovered his tongue lately. He likes to stick it out and feel his bottom lip. We've discovered that his tongue forks when he sticks it out! Weird ... but cute!

.

I've been needing glasses for a very long time. I've been having to squint with my glasses on to even see. Pretty bad. Anyway, we finally bit the bullet and went to the Dr. and ordered some new glasses. My eyes changed A LOT. My right eye Rx had to be increased by 2 and my left eye Rx had to be increased by 5. Yikes! Anyway, here are my new "eyes":

I just had to add this pic of E. He is so stinkin' sweet and cute! We love him to bits!

FYI

Through much thought ... and also deciding to copy my friend ..., I've decided to make our blog a little more ambiguous. I will now be referring to the members of our family by just the first letter of their name. I really want to keep this blog public so that it is easier to access. I really want family to read it and see it but I've realized that I've probably been too open about ourselves and our locations and such. So, for the safety of the family ... especially our sweet boys ... they will be referred to as P and E.

Once all the sickos, perverts, degenerates, freaks, and weirdos out there lingering on the Internet have been removed; then I'll go back to the way it was. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening any time soon .... in fact ever. *Pounds fist on desk*

I love all of you family and friends who have been checking the blog. Thank you so much for your comments. It really makes me feel good to know that people are looking at this and that I'm not just doing this in vain. For those that don't leave comments, that's okay ... I'll survive ;-) ... let me know you're looking. I'd love to know what you think. Give me a call or e-mail or something. I shall now end this silly post. Have a wonderful day! :-)

Family Photos

J's awesome brother, Shane, took our family photos on Thanksgiving weekend. Here are a few. P was not in a cooperative mood and we are lucky to have what we do with him. Little stinker. Shane's wife, Trixy, and I have discovered that for our next photo shoot we need to bring their daughter along. P loves her to bits and I bet he'll be more cooperative. Anyway, check them out. I think Shane did an amazing job! Thank you, Shane!

Can He Get Any Cuter?

I don't think this little man can get any sweeter and cuter! We love him!

My mom requested a video of E in the tub. My cousin's wife posted a video of their little guy going crazy, splashing in the tub. E isn't nearly as wild as Z but he is still stinkin' cute! Oh, don't mind my cheap editing trick. I'm sure E will appreciate it later in life! ;-)

P's Present from Alaska

I just had to share this video. P loves his train and I love the box that it is in. You'll get what I mean when you watch it.

Christmas with My Family

On Christmas Day, we drove home from Soda and went to my parents house. We opened presents there and then went to my Great Granny's house. We had brunch and opened a couple gifts that came from our family in Alaska. P was so tired and getting over his barf-fest from the night before that we had to wait and open his gift from Alaska later that day. Here are some pictures from the day. They are out of order but I don't have time to get them in order.

Here is P opening his gift from Alaska. I'll upload a video later today. By the way, check out his awesome hat! He calls it his dinosaur hat because of the spikes. We like it!

Grandpa Gower with his new iPod!

Great Granny with her dog Sonya and with E.

Grammy with her boys

Cute little man!

P got this book with 15 mini books inside. He loves it!

Grampy with E. E loves the toy that was just unwrapped. It has all sorts of textures and toys on it.

J was confused when he unwrapped a box of rags until he realized there was a Home Depot Giftcard taped to it!

The group opening a present of E's.

A very happy Grammy and Grampy with their newest grandson!

Christmas Eve with J's Family

We celebrated Christmas with J's parents on Christmas Eve. We spent the evening with J's parents and his brother and his family. We ate a yummy dinner and enjoyed each other's company. All was good and dandy until P barfed all over Grandma Sugar's carpet. Quite a downer to the get together. Anyway, he barfed several more times and finally started to do better. J's brother and his family went home and we decided to watch the Pixar movie, Up. (We hadn't seen it before so I was excited to see it.) We spent the night and opened presents before we went back home to be with my family.

This is the new puppy that my niece got for Christmas. They live in Colorado so Grandpa Grumpy and Grandma Sugar kept the puppy for a few days until they could come to pick her up. She is very cute and ended up being named Panda. Panda gained a special love for my father-in-law and, though he would never admit it, I know he gained a love for her. He is Mr. Tough Guy and isn't a softy but he really is! ;-)

J helping P open some Thomas The Train toys. He was very excited!

E opening a new toy. He was enthralled with all the paper and everything that was going on.

E especially liked this stuffed puppy that he got. It is very soft and he really enjoyed it.

With E sitting between my legs, I put the camera in front of him and took a picture. He was obviously thinking, "what is my mom doing?!"

Ah, the infamous tractor. We went shopping with Grandpa Grumpy and Grandma Sugar at the beginning part of December to help them pick out some toys for some of the other grandchildren. P fell in love with this tractor at the store so Sugar got it. When we got home, he kept asking for the tractor and Sugar just had to tell him she accidentally left it at the store. For the next several days he asked if Grandma had found the tractor and whenever he talked to her on the phone he asked her about it. It was pretty funny. This boy has a great memory and does NOT forget! :-)

CARS!

This kid is all boy. He loves all things cars, trains, and tractors!

J's Family Christmas Par-tay

The Sunday before Christmas, J's brother and his wife hosted a party for the family. We had a good time. We ate a very yummy dinner, played games, and enjoyed chatting. Thank you for the party!

J's brother and his wife.

J's sister and her husband. They will both hate me for including this picture but I had too. He looks drugged. :-)

J's brother and his wife.

J's parents.

This is also the day of the famous forgotten bottle incident. Some know, some probably don't so I'll share. I had to work earlier in the day. I tried to get everything packed and ready so that J would be able to get everything and everybody packed up and pick me up at work. We had to leave for their house as soon as I got off work. Anyway, J got everything ready and almost everything packed. In the rush to get packed and get going, he accidentally forgot the diaper bag. It was neatly packed with formula and a bottle. Unfortunately, it was left sitting nicely on the couch by the front door. OOPS! Fast forward a couple hours, E got hungry. J went to the car to discover that the bag had been left. It was 6 in the evening on a Sunday. The grocery store nearby was closed and we weren't sure what to do. We finally decided to just try and give him cows milk out of a sippy cup that our sister-in-law had. Thank heavens she still had it! She hasn't done daycare for a couple years so it was good she still had it! Lets just say, it didn't work very well. The hole was too big and he kept overflowing and gasping and coughing. It worked enough to hold him off until we got home. Anyway, J hasn't lived down the incident and whenever we get ready to go anywhere, we check, double check, and triple check to make sure we have the formula and the bottle. It was a good lesson to learn! :-)

I Love This Kid!

P crapped out on the couch the other day while watching a cartoon. When he doesn't take a nap, this is a common occurrence. Gotta love it!

Mohawk Baby!

I gave E a bath the other day and decided to comb it into a Mohawk. It was so cute that I had to share. The funny part is that it dried and stayed that way. It stayed like that throughout the next day at church. He got quite a few compliments.
