I Need Advice -

If you read my "Balls" post below, then you know the story already. P seems to think that I am hiding toy balls under my shirt. We were at the mall today in the play area and he grabbed me saying "Balls!" Luckily, no one was looking but I was still embarrassed to be getting felt up by my son! Anyway, I need some advice. Have any of you went through this with your children? What did you do? What do you think I should do?

Hmmm, that's a tough one. Fortunately for me I haven't had to deal with that one. Other than just explaining that mommys & daddys are different in that arena (which he's probably too young to get) I'm not sure. He may just have to figure it out for himself that things are different & it's not ok to do that. Good luck.

You know i am quite negative in that area, so i have never had that problem! But on a good note, your bathroom and craftiness is very cute! Good luck!

You know, I am quite large up top and I have had that problem, and all I can tell you for advice would be to... Um, I don't know where I was going with that. ALL that came to mind was dirty things, so I will stop. Good luck with it! Don't really know what to say. But we did have a great laugh over the story!

I'm not quite sure how old Preston is, but I had to explain to Ellie that mommies have "buttons" (i.e. balls?) so they can feed their babies momma's milk. If you don't have a friend who is nursing I would suggest trying to show him baby puppies or kitties eating (maybe at a pet store?) I don't know maybe he's too young right now . . . maybe you'll just have to wait a little while to explain it . . . maybe if you just wait it out he'll grow out of this stage??

I was just going to the same thing Kristine said. He needs to see a nursing mother. Mommy's milk feeds the baby. Be up front with him.

Seeing a nursing mother doesn't really help in my case. Charlie understands that the baby eats from there, but lately has been wanting to kiss my boobs. Weird kid. Does he think that the baby is kissing me and that's how he eats? I don't know . . . but 2 year olds are weird. I figure that by the time he hits kindergarten, he'll be old enough for me to explain it to him. Until then I'll just hope he doesn't try to do it in public. :-)
